Chairman of the Board

Graduated in Business Administration and Law, he was Executive Vice President of Bradesco, member of the Boards of Directors of Itaú Unibanco, Banco Itaú BMG Consignado, LPS Brasil – Consultoria de Imóveis, Rodobens Negócios Imobiliários, Camargo Correa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banco BMG and member of the Advisory Board of Spread Informática. He was President of FEBRABAN (1991/1994) and Minister of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (1999/2001).

António Bernardo is Senior Partner and Head of Latin America, Portugal, Angola and Mozambique at the German consultancy Roland Berger. Graduated in engineering, he also holds an MBA from the Catholic University of Leuven, with postgraduate degrees from INSEAD and Stanford University. He is an expert in corporate strategy and organization, as well as in M&A. He is a visiting professor at the University of Lisbon, where he teaches corporate strategy.

Hélio Magalhães is the current Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banco do Brasil. He started his career at Citibank. He then worked for 11 years at American Express as President of Global Network Services for the Americas and President of Brazil and Mexico. He returned to Citibank in 2012 to assume the presidency of the Bank in Brazil, a position he held until the end of 2017. He is also a former chairman of the Board of the American Chamber of Commerce in Brazil (Amcham). He recently left the Presidency of the Board of Directors of Caixa Econômica Federal.

Jan Gunnar Karsten has over 30 years of experience in the Wealth Management/Asset Management industry, having worked at Banco Matrix, Banco de Boston, UBS, and Citibank. For the last 6 years, he has held the position of CEO of GPS, which more recently became Julius Baer Family Office. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas and a master’s degree in Economics (strictu sensu) from the same university. He also has a course in Strategy from IMD (International Institute for Management Development), Machine Learning from MIT and has CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) and CFP (Certified Financial Planner) certifications. He is a member of Planor, an association that grants CFP certification, and president of the Anbima Certification Board.
